"We couldn't have been better," said Doug Collins.

They haven't been this good in their own building since the 2002-03 season, when they started 10-0 at home.

The Sixers shot better than 55 percent, including 12-for-18 (66.7 percent) from three-point range, and have won seven of their last eight.

The Sixers shot better than 52 percent in the first half, including 75 percent in the first quarter, and took a 54-40 lead into halftime.

The Sixers have won three straight games against the Wizards after dropping five in a row. They are 8-3 on the season...Washington has lost two straight and fell to 1-10.

Rose, after sitting out against the Wizards on Wednesday with a sprained toe, scored 12 of his points in the fourth quarter, including an acrobatic layup with his back to the basket and two Celtics trying to guard him.

The Celtics were down by 20 points three times in the third quarter.

After a timeout, Rose scored Chicago's next seven points and the Bulls built their lead back up to nine with under four minutes remaining. It reached as high as 13 before the end of the game.

Rose's highlight-reel layup came as he drove the middle of the lane flanked by Garnett on his left and Celtics center Brandon Bass on his right. Cradling the ball in his right arm, he spun to face the foul line and flipped it towards the backboard, spinning the ball in on the left side.

MySportsbook.com week 1 NFL lines

Now that the 2008 NFL schedule is finally out, it is only matter-of-course for lines on “Week 1” to follow.  Of course MySportsbook.com is the first to churn out odds for the NFL’s inaugural week for the upcoming season.   Expect a lot of fireworks the first Thursday night of the season as the defending champion Indianapolis Colts face off against the surprise of the 2008 season, the New Orleans Saints.  These teams were ranked #1 and #3 in the NFL respectively a season ago so a high scoring affair could be in order.  As of now, the Colts will be giving 6 points to the Saints; keep in mind the Saints were one of the better road teams last season going 6-3 SU and 7-2 ATS.  The first Monday night of the season will again provide a “double feature”. Coming off a disappointing season, the Cincinnati Bengals will look to get back to playoffs and improve their public image as they take on the AFC North favorite Baltimore Ravens.  The second game features a couple of teams that haven’t had too much success recently but each could make some noise if the NFC is as weak as it was last year as the San Francisco 49ers host the Arizona Cardinals. The most interesting game of the opening week will feature the NFC champion Bears as they hit the road to take on the NFL’s top team during last year’s regular season, the San Diego Chargers.
